While most people think I have my head in my ass, I'm applying to 2 internships. Considering the amount of nerds everywhere, I probably won't get them. So if my plan fails, I'll figure something out. And if I don't, then I'll just travel and chill. GOD FORBID I HAVE FUN IN MY 20s.
Right now, my list of priorities includes:
- seeing miguel and cabelle this weekend
- my trip to PUERTO RICO (WOOOOOH MIGUEL GOT A TICKET)
- debating whether or not I should go to this UTS party tonight
- breaking my 2 week "party" hiatus
- finishing my applications.

as someone who received a BS in mechanical engineering 6.5 years ago and has been working very steadily ever since and commands a pretty decently high salary currently, let me reassure you that your life isn't already ruined. i always hated those students who just cared about getting some job with lockheed or whatever other huge corporation, designing a piece of a blade of a jet engine or something. boring. i spent my first 4 years out of school working as a field technician for building control systems, and i learned a hell of a lot. pay was just fine and it helped launch me into architectural engineering, where i currently am with impressive pay, and aside from the office politics frustration, it's interesting and enjoyable work. don't be one of the idiots who "lives to work". get a job that pays enough to let you do what you love outside of work and hope that the job isn't deathly annoying. work to live. you'll be fine.
i agree with rick. people in business (commerce to you) school were even worse. all they cared about was money. me and GB would go and make fun of them.

People do need to chill the fuck out. I almost feel like I was part of the group who had a deadline to meet in order to secure a job: graduation. Then again, had it not been for my mom, I would have bought a one way ticket to Spain (like Bryan) and chilled out for a few months. But mija, I am not rich and I can't afford those luxuries. I'm happy at work though, but I wish peoples' definition of success wasn't so linked to education (says me the one who dreams about going to Harvard Law School). But we do live in America.
